JPMorgan has parted company with Camille Fournier, the former Head of Platform Engineering at hedge fund Two Sigma, who served as its Global Head of Engineering and Architecture for its Corporate & Investment Bank, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
Fournier, who left in recent weeks, is not being replaced, with her responsibilities, which included overseeing core platform development for CIB, being distributed among technology heads in the various lines of business.
Fournier joined JPMorgan in 2022 after over five years at Two Sigma, with her appointment coinciding with the departure of Eisar Lipkovitz, the former chief information officer for CIB, who left JPMorgan two years after joining and is now the head of product at a workforce management software firm.
Fournier’s departure comes amid broader changes within JPMorgan’s AI and digital teams, including the exits of Samik Chandarana, former head of digital banking for CIB; Tucker Balch, an MD in the AI research group; and Vasillis Plachouras, who joined from Meta last year.
The report cites unnamed sources within the bank as indicating that the changes are part of a cost-cutting strategy following the merger of JPMorgan’s commercial and investment banking divisions at the start of the year.
