Fortis Bank Nederland and BGL BNP Paribas have finalised the sale of Intertrust to Dutch private equity group Waterland, having received all regulatory and other necessary approvals.
The parties signed the sale and purchase agreement on 7 September 2009.
The sale will enable the management of Intertrust and Waterland, as its new owner, to capture opportunities in the trust and corporate service sector.
It will also allow Fortis Bank Nederland and BGL BNP Paribas to re-focus on their core banking activities.
Intertrust is a provider of trust and corporate services.
