Versor Investments, a quant investment firm focused on liquid alternatives, has launched the Versor Equity Prism Strategy, which invests in single name stocks and equity index futures across the globe in a market-neutral fashion, to outside investors. The strategy, which the firm started incubating with partner capital in January of 2022, utilises alternative data, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.  Since its founding in 2014, Versor has employed these technologies, as well as traditional data sources, to identify investment opportunities across global markets. “Advanced talks” are ongoing between Odey Asset Management (Odey AM) and SW Mitchell Capital over the transfer of the Oliver Kelton and the funds he previously managed at Odey AM to the London-based European equities investment boutique, according to a report by Reuters. A surge in redemption requests from investors after the ouster of founder Crispin Odey following multiple allegations of sexual assault, has prompted Odey Asset Management to suspend two funds, including the firm’s flagship hedge fund, according to a report by Bloomberg.
Digital asset investment products saw the largest single weekly inflows since July 2022 last week, totalling $199 million, correcting almost half of the previous nine consecutive weeks of outflows, according to the latest Digital Assets Fund Flows Weekly Report from CoinShares. Bitcoin was the primary beneficiary, seeing $187 million in inflows last week, representing 94% of the total flows, while short-bitcoin saw outflows for the ninth consecutive week totalling $4.9 million. This positive turn in sentiment didn’t trickle down to altcoins though, with only very minor inflows seen.

Macro hedge funds have enjoyed a renaissance in recent years with the biggest funds – those with over $1 billion in assets under management – showing significant outperformance compared to their smaller sub-$1 billion counterparts, according to a new report from WithIntelligence.
