Global credit investment manager, Bentham Asset Management, has added the Bentham Asset Backed Securities (ABS) Fund to the ASX mFund Settlement Service under the code BAM06. Bourse Scot Limited, the company aiming to create a stock exchange in Scotland, has selected Optiq, the trading platform of the pan-European Exchange Group, to power the new venue. The arrangement enables Bourse Scot’s initiative – known as Project Heather – to benefit from Euronext’s technology, which has been running Euronext’s own markets since June of this year. Euronext will also provide Bourse Scot with technical and operational services once the new stock exchange is live. The global hedge fund industry returned -0.31 per cent in November, bringing year-to-date returns to -2.81 per cent and marking the fourth consecutive month of negative industry returns, according to the just released eVestment November 2018 hedge fund performance data. Fund inflows rebounded in November as UK investors took advantage of the sharp drop in global stock markets at the end of October, according to the latest Fund Flows Index (FFI) from global funds transaction network Calastone.   The new monthly index tracks orders representing millions of individual investor decisions, and is the most comprehensive, and up-to-date measure of UK fund flows, according to Calastone.   UK investors committed a net GBP2.2 billion to funds in November, more than double October’s total. Hedge funds fared better in November compared to October but still ended the month in negative territory, according to the latest Weekly Brief from Lyxor’s Cross Asset Research team.
