BATS Global Markets (BATS) has reported record market share in both its US options and US exchange-traded fund (ETF) trading businesses in September.
In US options, BATS reported market share of 11.0 per cent in September, surpassing the previous record of 10.9 per cent set in August 2015. In September, BATS was also the market leader in single-leg equity option trades with 17.5 per cent market share, up from 17.3 per cent in August when BATS was also the market leader1.

UBS Hedge Fund Solutions has become the first investment manager to re-domicile a Cayman fund as an ICAV under the Irish Collective Asset-management Vehicle Act of 2015.
ICAVs are a new corporate fund vehicle in Ireland which are tailor-made for investment funds as they combine the advantages of each of the existing fund vehicles used in Ireland into one. The result is a more efficient and effective fund structure over the alternatives, such as a public limited company, with a simplified compliance framework and enhanced distribution opportunities.

Soltra, a joint venture of FS-ISAC and The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), is to launch the Soltra Network, a new offering designed to connect cyber threat intelligence sharing across intelligence producers, intelligence consumers, communities and cyber security tools.

The results of the latest Valuations Index from the CFA Society of the UK (CFA UK) show that the proportion of respondents who view Developed Market Equities as undervalued has more than doubled, whilst the number who view them as overvalued has fallen sharply.

The dedicated segment for spotlight options benefits from a unique market model designed by Euronext to give more visibility to underlying assets, such as medium and smaller sized companies and newly listed stocks. Eight new “Spotlight Options” have been admitted to listing with immediate effect, following the companies’ successful IPOs on Euronext in Paris: Coface, Elior, Elis, GTT, Numericable Group, Tarket, SPIE and Worldline.

A group of strategic investors are to acquire a controlling ownership interest in Canadian asset manager Front Street Capital through a new company FS Group Holdings Ltd.
The transaction is expected to close prior to 31 December, 2015, subject to approval of Canadian securities regulatory authorities. The terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.
