Susanne Sorge will be joining RWC Partners at the end of October.
Sorge joins from GLG Partners where she was responsible for business development in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
RWC Partners has developed a presence in the region over the last four years.
Sorge, who has been with GLG Partners for four years, has experience in the development of both absolute return and Ucits III funds. At RWC Partners, Sorge will report to head of business development Dan Mannix.

Merchant Capital, a Ucits umbrella provider to the hedge fund industry, is launching the third fund on its platform – the Merchant Global Resources Ucits Fund.
The fund will employ an absolute return equity strategy with a long-biased approach to investing in global resources.
It has targeted a launch date in October with approximately USD15m in assets under management. Initial capital has been raised from a combination of European institutional and private investors.

A working paper on Ucits regulation has found no conclusive evidence that less regulated hedge funds outperform alternative Ucits funds on a risk adjusted basis, even though they find some cross-sectional evidence.
The paper was published by Nils S. Tuchsmid and Erik Wallerstein from the Haute Ecole de Gestion in Geneva, and Louis Zanolin from NARA Capital.
