U.S. Bancorp Fund Services has named Gerald Barbara Pictured as senior vice president and alternative investment business development officer.
Barbara specialises in alternative investment administration and custody services and will work out of Wilmington, Del.

Jerry’s expertise and knowledge in operations and back office support will help advisors who are looking for an exceptional service provider who can support their specialised products.”
Barbara brings more than 20 years of sales, relationship management, marketing, business development operations, and managerial experience to his role at U.S. Bancorp Fund Services. Most recently, Barbara worked for Bank of New York Mellon where he served as vice president of global business development for the alternative investment division. Barbara also spent five years at Grant Thornton LLP as the manager of financial operations services focusing on sales and marketing and operations related to their hedge fund business.
In addition, Barbara is a founding board member for the Mid-Atlantic Hedge Fund Association and currently serves on the Alternative Investment Committee for NISCA and the Steering Committee for the Regulatory Compliance Association.
Barbara earned a Bachelor of Science degree from City University in New York, and his MBA from Wagner College in Staten Island, New York.
