The Gibraltar Financial Services Commission (GFSC) is delighted to announce that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission on 13 July 2015.
Under the terms of the MoU, the commissions agree to assist each other in order to ensure stakeholder and public protection and to develop market and financial integrity.
Samantha Barrass (pictured), GFSC CEO, says: “The signing of this MoU is significant for us. It serves to enhance our commitment to establish international relationships with other supervisory organisations, in order to support and strengthen our regulatory work”.
The GFSC is committed to developing its cooperation and information exchange with other jurisdictions through the establishment of MoUs. The GFSC has signed a number of MoUs to date with a number of regulators and some public bodies, and continues to seek to put in place arrangements for co-operation with counterparts in other jurisdictions.
