HedgeZ launches programme for connecting hedge funds and accredited investors

Related Topics

HedgeZ has launched a fund visibility and investor introduction programme for hedge funds, private equity funds and commodity trading advisers.

Coinciding with its one year anniversary, HedgeZ has completely redesigned its site with enhancements for both accredited investors and participating hedge funds.

HedgeZ was originally launched in September 2013 coinciding with the adoption of Title II of the JOBS Act, which for the first time allowed hedge funds to advertise to accredited investors.

Over 50,000 unique accredited investors have already visited HedgeZ, searching for hedge funds and other investments. Over 20,000 of these visitors have registered (registration for investors is free) providing valuable investment profile information. Over 5,000 accredited investors have requested to be contacted by over 800 fund managers.

HedgeZ assists accredited investors in finding the right funds that fit their investment objectives. Over 6,000 unique fund profile pages are available with detailed information on fund performance, asset size, investment strategies, philosophies and manager information. By completing a brief investor profile, the HedgeZ algorithm can identify the best five funds to match their goals and criteria. A proprietary search engine is also available for those investors who want to search for a fund by name or by any set of specific criteria.

Participating hedge funds, private equity funds and CTAs receive exposure and active promotion reaching accredited investors – something most fund managers don't have the time, resources or experience to do on their own. The participating funds receive a comprehensive profile page on HedgeZ featuring information managers want to share with prospective investors.

Jeffrey Schwartz, a founder of HedgeZ, says: “We're listening and responding to the feedback we've received from fund managers over the past year, as any smart business would do. Fund managers want simplicity and performance, and we've evolved to deliver both."
