Good Morning this promises to be an interesting week for equity markets as Fed Governor Ben Bernanake is due to make three separate speeches, added to which we will get retail sales data in the US. Given the results of Mr Bernanake’s recent comments it could be a rocky ride.
London finished the week on a positive note whilst New York lost just under 50 points having been up over 60 points at one stage. Asian Markets are mixed this morning with the Nikkei making modest gains, whilst the Hang Seng is down small.
Two levels will be in focus early on today in FTSE these being 5612.5 which was Fridays low and secondly the trend support line which today comes in at 5563.5 We retain our bearish stance whilst we are below 5800.5
