Jain Global, Millennium Management alumnus Bobby Jain’s much-anticipated, multi-strategy hedge fund firm which is gearing up for a $6bn summer launch, has filled another Portfolio Manager slot with the recruitment of Venor Capital Co-CIO Jeff Bersh, according to a report by Business Insider.

The report cites unnamed sources familiar with the matter as confirming the appointment of Bersh, who founded Venore in 2005 and has a background in distressed debt trading.

Prior to founding Venor, Bersh traded distressed debt at Credit Suisse and also spent time at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Bear Stearns.

Jain’s new firm will focus on trading fundamental equities, equity arbitrage, macro, credit, commodities and systematic strategies when it launches later this year.
