Kinetic Partners continues US expansion of insolvency and forensic practice

Related Topics

Kinetic Partners, a global professional services firm to the asset management, investment banking and brokerage community, has recruited Christopher Stride as a member of the Firm’s New York office.

Stride, 41, will focus on the Consulting division specialising in corporate recovery and forensic engagements. His primary role will include building relationships with the US legal community to develop Kinetic Partners’ growing onshore insolvency restructuring and forensic practice.

Stride has deep expertise in working with insolvent hedge funds, and his high-profile representation of offshore investment vehicles provides an excellent fit to Kinetic Partners’ expanding presence in the New York market. He also has served as liquidator of a number of insolvencies and bankruptcies in the Cayman Islands and the British Virgin Islands, which have had significant cross-border exposure to the US.

“I am thrilled about the opportunity to work with a globally established firm such as Kinetic Partners,” says Stride. “I look forward to making a significant contribution to Kinetic’s already well established expertise in the insolvency and restructuring areas for the investment management industry.”

From 2002 to 2007, Stride was head of the RSM practice in the Cayman and British Virgin Islands. He then joined Krys and Associates until 2010, heading the British Virgin Islands practice working on significant hedge fund failures. He also worked with Mesirow Financial Consulting in New York, helping to build its cross-border insolvency practice.

Julian Korek (pictured), a Founding member, says: “We are delighted to be welcoming Chris on board, given his considerable restructuring and insolvency experience within the investment management community. He will be a highly valuable addition to our existing team of insolvency and restructuring experts, and will help build on Kinetic Partners’ established reputation as leaders in the field of innovative solutions for fund managers and investors in distressed situations.”
