The London Metal Exchange (LME) has launched a new education offering for market participants as it focuses on greater market engagement to expand the business globally.
“The LME’s training programme is instrumental in driving forward the Exchange's market engagement and outreach strategy,” says Paul MacGregor, LME Head of Sales. “Enabling a greater understanding of the LME and how it operates will help us to grow business in new markets.”
The LME’s three-day introductory course – an essential tool in helping market participants understand how the Exchange operates – will now be run by specialist education provider Euromoney Training. The LME sales team, established earlier this year, will also focus on providing intensive, tailored training to meet the specific needs of new and potential customers.
"We are delighted to be partnering with Euromoney Training to offer our introductory courses on a wider scale. We look forward to meeting new participants around the globe, and helping them to realise the benefits of trading on the LME," says MacGregor.
Euromoney Training will provide introductory courses globally, with the exception of the Asia region, where training will continue to be provided in-house. The first new courses will be delivered in February 2015.
