High-alpha asset management firm, RWC Partners, have confirmed that Peter Allwright
Bank of America Merrill Lynch has launched its commodity alpha and beta family of Ucits III funds: the MLCX Commodity Enhanced Beta Fund; the MLCX Agriculture Optimal Crop Fund; and the MLCX Commodity Alpha Fund.
Forming part of the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Invest platform, all three Ucits-compliant funds offer solutions for commodity investors looking to achieve beta and/or alpha exposure to commodity markets.
The funds track underlying indices created by BofA Merrill Lynch Global Research.

RWC Partners’ Peter Allwright and Stuart Frost have taken over day-to-day management of the RWC Cautious Absolute Rate and Currency Fund.
Frost and Allwright (pictured) joined RWC Partners in October from Threadneedle where they were joint portfolio managers of the Threadneedle Target Return Fund, Absolute Return Bond Fund and the hedge fund, Macro Crescendo Trading Fund.
The RWC Cautious ARC Fund is approximately USD60m and will continue with its existing target of cash plus three per cent over the market cycle, a target that matches two of the funds they were previously responsible for.
Allwright and Frost have
Skandia Investment Group has awarded Aviva Investors a GBP8m mandate to help further boost its Skandia UK Strategic Best Ideas Fund, the only long/short Ucits III multi-manager fund in the IMA’s UK All Companies sector.
Launched just over three years ago, the fund has outperformed the FTSE All Share Index by over ten per cent since its launch in September 2007, placing the fund in the top quartile of the IMA UK All Companies sector.
