A hedge fund backed by KKR & Co is betting on Indian stocks in the belief that inflation has peaked, according to a report by Bloomberg.
The report cites Vaibhav Sanghavi, co-chief executive officer of Mumbai-based long-short investor Avendus Capital Public Markets Alternate Strategies, as revealing that the firm is big on consumer, let by auto and industrials – market segments the firm believes are set to benefit when prices fall.

City-based hedge fund Brevan Howard is on the hunt for a US-based chairman sparking industry peculation that the $23 billion asset manager nay be planning a stock market listing, according to a report by Sky News.
The report cites a recruitment advertisement as revealing that Brevan Howard, which was jointly founded by billionaire Conservative Party donor Alan Howard, is looking for “a US-based independent chair to provide leadership and governance to its board and to help accelerate the company’s ambitious growth plans”.

The biotechnology sector has become a hunting ground for hedge funds on the look out for bargain stocks, according to a report by The Financial Times.
After a sharp selloff which has seen a Nasdaq index of biotech stocks shed almost a third of its value since hitting an all-time high in August last year, managers are betting that the sector now provides investment opportunities.
The report says that some managers believe that biotech stock have fallen too far when drug development prospects are taken into consideration and are “buying up stocks on the cheap”.
