Rose & Sky Group, a Swiss-based specialist for market neutral investments and strategies, has appointed Manuel Ebner as chief executive of Rose & Sky Investments and as managing partner of Rose & Sky Investments (Cayman).
Ebner (pictured) has more than two decades of extensive leadership experience in banking and IT, as chief executive and senior strategy consultant.
At Rose & Sky, Ebner takes a senior position in both the group’s fund manager, based on the Cayman Islands and the group’s fund adviser, based in Switzerland. Ebner will help lead the group in addressing the expected regulatory and investor needs and requirements.
Rose & Sky Investments is preparing to launch a new market neutral fund for institutional investors in May 2009.
Since 2006, Ebner has been chief executive of BZ Bank, a Swiss private bank, focused on equities brokerage, fund management and corporate finance. Prior to his time at BZ Bank he was a partner at McKinsey and at the Boston Consulting Group, specialising on private banking and asset management. In addition, Ebner was chief executive of two software companies in Switzerland.
Ebner assumes his responsibilities at Rose & Sky together with Mark Rosiefsky, managing partner of the fund manager and chairman of Rose & Sky Investments.
