Millennium Management, the multi-strategy hedge fund founded by Izzy Englander, is expanding its footprint in Dublin as it continues to ramp up hiring, particularly in the technology sector, according to a report by the Business Post.
The New York-based firm, which set up its Irish operations in 2018 with just a handful of employees, is now significantly scaling its presence in the city. Once the expansion is completed, Millennium will have the capacity to accommodate an additional 80 employees, bringing its Dublin headcount to 180 staff members.
This strategic growth follows Millennium’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its European operations and tech capabilities, with the firm actively recruiting in areas such as data analytics and software development. The expansion comes as the firm continues to focus on bolstering its trading infrastructure, underscoring its commitment to tapping into Ireland’s growing pool of talent.
In recent months, Millennium has made headlines in the country for its high-profile short positions against major Irish companies, including Flutter Entertainment (Paddy Power) and Bank of Ireland.
