Millennium portfolio manager Alexander Altmann has left the multi-strategy hedge fund major to head up a new strategy role within Barclays’ equities trading desk in New York as Head of Equities Tactical Strategies, according to a report by Financial News.
Altmann will join Barclays later this month, reporting to Ronnie Wexler, Global Head of Equities Distribution.
Altmann spent two years as an equity macro portfolio manager at Millennium, having spent the previous ten years on the equities desk at Citigroup. He has also worked at Royal Bank of Scotland and JPMorgan.
