Neuberger Berman, a private, independent, employee-owned investment manager, has launched the Neuberger Berman Next Generation Space Economy strategy in Europe as a UCITS fund.
The fund will be run by New York-based portfolio managers, Michael Barr and Hari Ramanan, who have a combined 45 years of experience and a three-year track record in the sector. They will be backed by Neuberger Berman’s global equity research team of more than 46 investment professionals, as well as the firm’s data science and ESG teams.
The fund seeks to achieve long-term capital appreciation through investing primarily in a portfolio of global equity holdings that are involved in or derive benefit from next generation space economy. The fund aims to invest in equity securities that are related to the build-out of space infrastructure, technology solutions that unlock the potential of these assets, and applications created by these capabilities. The team also evaluates ESG characteristics as part of the multi-layered, bottom-up fundamental research investment approach.
