New arrivals at Equity Trust New York

Two new recruits in New York have boosted Equity Trust’s presence in the North American market. Felicia Fratila and Lawrence Kho, experienced professionals who have worked for Equity Trust since 2007, have moved to New York to join local Managing Director Wouter Plantenga.

Equity Trust’s New York operation is a representative office offering a one-stop sales presence in New York, and also functions as an intermediary for existing and potential clients throughout North America, and other parts of the world.

The office, set up in 2006 and headed Wouter Plantenga, provides the network of professionals and institutions in the US and Canada with up-to-date information and assistance regarding the services available through the various Equity Trust offices worldwide, and provides assistance with the implementation of cross-border structures.

Felicia, who moved to Equity Trust’s New York office in March 2011, has worked in the trust and consultancy sector since 1995. She worked for a Danish consultancy followed by a Belgian-based company, before being employed by TMF Group in the Netherlands between 2001 and 2005.

After joining Equity Trust in 2007, Fratila played a key part in the setting-up of the New York desk in Amsterdam, managing a team of 6-7 people, who are responsible for the daily maintenance of a substantial part of our US and Canadian client portfolio in the Netherlands. Fratila has 10 years of experience in assisting clients in structuring their international financial transactions and providing related trust and corporate management services

Kho moved to New York to take up his new role with Equity Trust in March 2011. He has worked for the company since 2007, and prior to his trans-Atlantic move was a corporate lawyer based in the Amsterdam office. He was responsible for developing new business and overseeing and maintaining new and existing client relationships. His work involved assisting clients in fiscal structuring of various high-profile transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, restructuring, refinancing and IPOs, by setting up and maintaining their Dutch holding structures post incorporation. Kho previously worked at the Corporate Treasury department of Royal Philips Electronics.
