GCM Grosvenor has appointed Eric Levin as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), based in the firm’s Chicago headquarters. Levin brings more than twenty years of experience to the role. He joins GCM Grosvenor from PEAK6 Investments, where he has worked for the last 13 years leading technology and business strategy. A subsidiary of Ares Management Corporation (Ares) is to acquire a managing interest in a restructured Crestline Denali Capital (Crestline Denali) that will result in the addition of seven collateralised loan obligation funds (CLOs) totalling USD2.6 billion of assets under management to the Ares portfolio. Crestline Denali, a Chicago area-based firm specialising in the management of non-investment grade bank loans, will retain its equity interest in its CLOs.

ValuAnalysis has launched the ValuFocus Fund, an actively managed fund which targets returns of two to three percentage points above global equity markets. Through its proprietary research, ValuAnalysis identifies stocks which create sustainable value for shareholders. Asia-Pacific region broker Straits Financial Services is now providing prime-of-prime (PoP) brokerage services to Spotex, a developer of modular, technology systems for foreign exchange brokers and institutional ECN operator. The agreement enables clients to access institutional FX liquidity via Straits Financial and provides a gateway for brokers to deploy Spotex’s modular technology solutions.
Straits Financial will now provide credit intermediation and liquidity to broker and fund manager clients as a Spotex PoP. This includes Straits Financial’s proprietary institutional liquidity accessed via a dedicated Spotex Broker Liquidity Hub and from Spotex’s institutional ECN.
