The LuxHedge Global Alternative UCITS Index posted a gain of +0.95 per cent in June, bringing year-to-date results for the average fund up to +2.71 per cent.  Four out of five funds have posted positive results so far this year. Most strategies are performing well according to the according to the latest LuxHedge Alternative UCITS Msrket Overview, with funds in Macro and Merger Arbitrage continuing to lead the pack. LuxHedge says that Equity Hedge strategies are lagging behind the general market, mainly due to Equity Market Neutral funds which continue to struggle in 2019. European cryptocurrency exchange Bitstamp is partnering with cryptocurrency prime broker BCB Group to enable investors from the UK to transfer GBP directly to and from their Bitstamp accounts. Through this partnership, Bitstamp will be able to support deposits and withdrawals directly in GBP, providing increased efficiency and reduced costs for clients. Asset manager Insight Investment has made five new appointments to its 70-strong Client Solutions Group (CSG). Specialists within the group work closely with clients and their advisers to design and deliver portfolios to achieve their investment objectives. Mirabella Group, the regulatory hosting arm of ACA Compliance Group, has added a Tied Agent solution to its existing alternative investment fund manager (AIFM) service in Malta.  This new solution helps non-European Economic Area (EEA) firms to interact with their EEA clients using MiFID passporting. Mirabella has created a new subsidiary, Mirabella Malta Advisers Limited (MMAL), which will act as Principal to locally based Tied Agents, which will be owned by non-EEA firms.
