Schroders this week announced that assets under management in Schroder ISF Global Multi-Asset Income have surpassed USD5bn. The fund only launched just over two years ago in April 2012 with flows coming from Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
It’s a significant milestone to reach.
The fund, which aims to provide sustainable income by investing in high quality income generating securities across a range of asset classes, regions and sectors, is managed by Aymeric Forest and Iain Cunningham. The objective is to pay a distribution of 5 per cent annually in monthly or quarterly installments.

Iain Fulton has been appointed as the new chief operating officer of Malta-based Prestige Capital Management.
Fulton joined the company in May 2014 on a full time basis and will also support for various Prestige companies internationally.
This additional resource will ensure greater professional and management capacity and enable Prestige to achieve its ongoing regulatory obligations including the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) and European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) obligations, along with its medium term expansion plans.

The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has launched a first round of consultations to prepare for central clearing of OTC derivatives within the European Union.
The two consultation papers seek stakeholders’ views on draft regulatory technical standards (RTS) for the clearing of Interest Rate Swaps (IRS) and Credit Default Swaps (CDS) that ESMA has to develop under the European Markets Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR).

Atlanta-based TLC Capital Group is preparing the launch of a new option-hedged market neutral fund, the Salvus Hedged Yield Fund, which will employ the firm’s proprietary hedged yield strategy.

Rob Laible has joined Liquidnet as head of the firm’s global performance team.
Based in New York, Laible will work in close coordination with the sales, technology and product development teams across all regions with primary responsibility for leading and driving the marketing, sales, execution, and servicing of Liquidnet’s algorithmic trading services, execution desks and analytics as well as management of its liquidity partner relationships.

Liquidnet saw record second quarter performance in Asia Pacific as the company benefited from strong demand across the region for safe access to block trading among large institutions.
Principal traded climbed to a record USD6 billion, marking a four per cent increase on the previous quarter which was also a record.
The region reported record average daily liquidity of USD11.6 billion, a nine per cent jump from Q1 2014.
