Singapore Exchange (SGX) is consulting the public on its proposal to change the algorithm used to compute the equilibrium price at which orders are matched at the end of the opening and closing routines and adjust phases in the securities market.
The proposed algorithm will compute a price that is a better reflection of the market. This is because the algorithm’s parameters allow for a better accounting of the forces of supply and demand. This algorithm is also used by the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and NASDAQ OMX.

The GlobeOp Forward Redemption Indicator for July 2011 measured 2.08%, down from 4.01% in June.
“The Forward Redemption Indicator registered a new all-time low in June,” says Hans Hufschmid, chief executive officer, GlobeOp Financial Services (LSE:GO.). “This is the smallest redemption notice percentage since the start of the series in January 2008.”

The EDHEC-Risk Institute has published a new publication – “An Integrated Approach to Sovereign Wealth Risk Management,” – containing the results of the second-year research work conducted in the Deutsche Bank research chair on asset-liability management (ALM) techniques for sovereign wealth fund (SWF) management.
