Stenham Asset Management has had two of its funds, Stenham Gold and Stenham Trading, ranked in the Top 10 Performing Fund of Hedge Funds category by BarclayHedge.
The Stenham Gold Fund was launched in 2003 and has achieved an annualised compound return (USD) of 18.88 per cent over five years with a volatility of 23.67 per cent. Stenham Gold invests in gold bullion and gold hedge funds, with assets under management as at September 2010 of USD102m.

Derivatives exchange Eurex will offer futures contracts based on dividends of Swiss companies starting on 30 November 2010.
The new contracts are based on dividends from ABB, Compagnie Financière Richemont, Roche, Credit Suisse Group, Nestle, Novartis, Schweizerische Rückversicherungs-Gesellschaft, Swisscom, UBS and Zurich Financial Services.
All underlying firms are part of the Swiss blue-chip index SMI.

Third party funding, where investors who have no other connection with litigation support legal claims in exchange for a financial return, is starting to take-off in the UK with a number of funds having been set-up to invest specifically in litigation.
This is according to a report into third party litigation funding commissioned by City law firm Fox Williams and undertaken by legal market research company Jures.

KBC has signed an agreement with funds managed by affiliates of Fortress Investment Group to sell them the US life settlement portfolio held by KBC Financial Products.
The transaction is not material to KBC Group’s results and does not impact KBC’s Tier-1 ratio.
