Cato Brahde qualified as a naval architect at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and gained an MSc in Business Administration from Boston University. After a stint in the Norwegian Navy, he spent 11 years at Brown and Root – a subsidiary of US oil services group Halliburton working with marine installations and construction contracts. He joined Tufton Oceanic in 1989 where he managed an in-house shipping investment fund and several private equity projects – including a fleet of 30 offshore support vessels
Thames River Capital has raised an initial EUR 35 million for a European equity long/short fund, Thames River Tybourne Fund, launched on 30 June 2006.
The new Thames River Tybourne Fund raised EUR 35 million at launch with commitments for additional investments of approximately EUR 15m. Tybourne Fund is a European mid-cap equity long/short fund investing in UK and Continental European equities with market capitalisations of between EUR 500 million – EUR 3 billion, enabling investors to benefit from a strategy that has been managed as a sub-set of Thames River Capital’s mainstream European equities long/short fund, Thames River Kingsway

Shahid Ikram joined Morley Fund Management as Commercial Union Investment Management in 1990 after a term at the National Bank of Kuwait. He progressed from Gilt Analyst to Head of UK Bonds and Pensions, and later was appointed Director of High Performance Funds in June 2000.
