Palazzolo’s LinkedIn profile reveals that he left AQR Capital Management, which focuses on quantitatively driven alternative and traditional investment vehicles, to join Bridgewater on 27 February.
At AQR, Palazzolo held the position of head of responsible investing until the end of 2021 before then working as a Senior Advisor to the firm before making the switch to Bridgewater.
A London-based macro sales team at Goldman Sachs led by Nohshad Shah, Goldman’s co-head of EMEA interest rates sales, and managing director Ishaan Sethi, has jumped ship to join a hedge fund just weeks after bonuses were paid, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
The hedge fund in question is thought to be Marshall Wace where Shah will reportedly be tasked with running the firm’s cross-asset macro team.

The Managed Funds Association, a trade body for the hedge fund industry, has written a letter to the UK’s HM Treasury suggesting that the requirement for hedge funds to publicly disclose their short positions should be ditched in favour of regulator-only notifications, according to a report by Reuters.
