Investors are queuing up to withdraw assets from SkyBridge Capital’s flagship hedge fund amid the current market downturn, according to a report by The New York Times.
The firm, founded by Anthony Scaramucci, is reported to be facing a mass exodus of investors from the SkyBridge Multi-Adviser Hedge Fund Portfolios, which in March 2022 held over $2 billion in assets. Hedge fund Brevan Howard has added another in-house talent scout as it continues its London recruitment drive, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
New recruit Harry Simons, a former headhunter at Heidrick & Struggles, has been given a mandate to hire portfolio managers across global macro. He will reportedly be working alongside other recruitment focused staff including head of business development Tim Williams, who joined the firm in 2019 to recruit portfolio managers across Europe, and Angela Tovey-Stewart who joined in May 2022, with a remit to fill non-PM roles in London.

Ashley Wilson, head of the prime brokerage division at BNP Paribas, has quit the firm to join rival company UBS Group AG, according to a report by Bloomberg.
Wilson, who joined BNP Paribas as part of a 2019 deal that saw the firm acquire clients and technology from Deutsche Bank AG, is a veteran of the prime brokerage business which lends cash and securities to hedge fund clients and executes their trades.

AEGIS Hedging Solutions’ (AEGIS) application to form a registered Swap Execution Facility (SEF) has received final approval from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
AEGIS SEF, a regulated subsidiary of AEGIS, enables compliant, efficient, and transparent execution of hedging transactions for companies managing commodity price risk.
The Dodd-Frank Act introduced regulations to improve transparency in swap transactions, including requirements to execute certain transactions on SEFs. The CFTC clarified, via Staff Advisory 21-19, conditions that require certain Commodity Trading Advisors and Introducing Brokers to execute hedging transactions on SEFs.
AEGIS SEF is the first swap execution facility approved since these clarifications.
