Sam Harland, the Tiger Global Management partner behind the hedge fund’s bet on used-car dealer Carvana Co, has left the firm, according to a report by Bloomberg. Harland also took a lead in Tiger Global’s bets on Instant Teams, a remote talent marketplace, hiring platform WizeHire, and sales staff networking platform Bravado. Bosonic, a decentralised financial markets infrastructure (dFMI) business, has appointed Yvo van Amerongen as client solutions director. Van Amerongen will help to lead the recently announced Bosonic Cross-Custodian Net Settlement Working Group partnering with digital asset custodians globally. The Andurand Commodities Discretionary Enhanced Fund – commodities trader Pierre Andurand’s largest hedge fund at around $1 billion in managed assets – is up 162% so far this year, according to a report by Bloomberg. The bumper gain comes on the back of an impressive 82% return in 2021. Andurand’s older $750 million Commodities Fund meanwhile, is up 41.5% so far in 2022, while the newerAndurand Climate and Energy Transition Fund, which launched last summer, is up 14%. Speculation is growing about the financial standing of hedge fund Three Arrows Capital following a cryptic tweet by the firm’s founder, according to a report by Bloomberg. Former Credit Suisse (SIX:CSGN) Group AG trader Zhu Su tweeted from his verified account saying: ““We are in the process of communicating with relevant parties and fully committed to working this out”, without providing any further details or context. The firm is reported to have been liquidating crypto positions in recent weeks its including exposure to staked ether (stETH).
