State Street Corporation (NYSE: STT) today announced it has appointed Jesse Cole as global head of its Private Markets segment.
In this role, Cole will be responsible for defining and executing State Street’s global strategy for Private Markets and will work closely with his peers in global sales and the product organisation to manage and grow private markets business across all client segments.
Cole is based out of Chicago, IL and will report to Paul Fleming, global head of State Street’s Global Alternatives Segment.

With 15 years of experience in the asset management industry, Del Alcazar joins as head of sales for France, Switzerland and Benelux and is tasked with expanding Harrington Cooper’s reach across these key client areas.
Joining from Alken Asset Management, Del Alcazar has buy-side research and sales roles experience within asset management. She worked as a hedge fund analyst and junior portfolio manager at Caledon Asset Management, before moving onto selecting long only strategies at EFG Asset
Fund manager Pierre Andurand has suggested that European governments should impose a 100 per cent tax on Russian oil rather than banning its import completely, according to to a report by Bloomberg Quint.
Andurand’s idea, which he shared via Twitter, is that countries unable to source alternative supplies could buy Russian oil at a discount of 50 per cent to compensate for the additional tax, which would hurt Russian oil revenues while ensuring European supplies.
Andurand’s commodity fund made 109 per cent in the first three months of the year.
