Indus Capital Partners (Indus), a dedicated Asia Pacific equities investment manager, has appointed Patrick McCurdy, former senior leader in Wells Fargo’s Prime Services division, as a Managing Director, and Isabel Borish, former business development and investor relations professional with AllianceBernstein, as an Executive Director in the firm’s Client Advisory Group.
Borish joined on 28 February, 2022, while McCurdy will be joining on 11 April, 2022.
Both executives will be responsible for new business development and client coverage in North America and globally. They will report to Zlata Gleason, Head of Indus’ Client Advisory Group, who rejoined the firm in
Derivatives marketplace CME Group is to launch options on Micro Bitcoin and Micro Ether futures on 28 March, pending regulatory review.
The new Micro Bitcoin and Micro Ether options contracts will be one-tenth of their respective underlying tokens in size and will offer a wide range of market participants – from institutions to sophisticated, active, individual traders – more ways to manage their exposure to the top two cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation.
These contracts will complement the existing bitcoin options contracts, sized at five bitcoin and launched in 2020. Additionally, they will allow clients to express long- or short-term views
Hildene Capital Management (Hildene), an asset management firm focused on distressed and event-driven opportunities within credit, has entered into a strategic relationship with Leucadia Asset Management (LAM), a division of Jefferies Financial Group Inc.
In connection with the transaction, LAM will acquire a non-controlling financial interest in Hildene and will help seed certain new Hildene vehicles and businesses.

iCapital, a global fintech platform providing access and efficiency in alternative investing for the asset and wealth management industries, has acquired Bank of Singapore’s in-house private market feeder fund platform.
With the deal, iCapital takes over the management and operation of the bank’s private market feeder funds while Bank of Singapore retains client servicing responsibilities.
Following the close of the transaction, iCapital services approximately USD114 billion in global private assets, of which more than USD27 billion are from international investors (non-US Domestic), across more than 940 funds.
The deal builds on a long-standing partnership between the two companies. Bank of

Polygon Global Partners’ convertibles-focused unit has rebranded as Acasta Partners, and its flagship global long/short Polygon Convertible Opportunity strategy, led by CIO Mike Humphries, has been renamed Acasta Global.
The strategy was originally launched by Humphries in 2009 in the aftermath of the Global Financial Crisis, using in-depth research to construct a concentrated portfolio of positions aimed at generating returns in defensible niches throughout market cycles.
Today, it has some USD900 million in assets under management, with offices in London, New York, and Florida.

Carey Olsen has added to its investment funds offering in Singapore with the addition of investment funds specialist Tom Katsaros.
Katsaros, who specialises in the establishment, structuring and maintenance of private equity funds and hedge funds, joins Carey Olsen after 14 years at Maples where he was most recently head of the firm’s funds and investment management team in Singapore.
In addition to acting for large financial institutions and investment funds sponsors, boutique and start-up investment managers, Katsaros also advises on all aspects of corporate and commercial law, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and financing transactions.
The International Stock Exchange (TISE) has launched its new bespoke auction trading system, NOVA.
The first auctions on NOVA have now been held, with Ravenscroft (CI) Limited, a Trading Member of TISE, facilitating the order book entries for auctions in the TISE listed securities of 14 issuers.
The auction model is designed to benefit market participants through the concentration of liquidity into specific events. Auctions can be held at an issuer’s discretion, eg daily, weekly, monthly, providing maximum flexibility.
Transparency is provided to the market through full visibility of the order-book build with the TISE website displaying buy and sell
