Olivetree Financial Group, an equity brokerage and technology firm, has appointed Charlotte Wall to managing director and global head of product sales in London and New York.
Wall will begin her new role on 1 November 2012. Her key responsibilities will be to head up global sales of Olivetree Solutions’ OTAS platform to buy-side institutions, including asset managers and hedge funds.
Wall joins Olivetree from Markit Securities Finance, where she was also managing director and head of sales, following Markit’s acquisition of Data Explorers. Before that, she spent four years at Data Explorers and 16 years as managing director at Morgan Stanley, where she ran the bank’s equities financing business in Europe.
Olivetree was launched in 2009. In 2011, it formed Olivetree Solutions to provide independent quant analytics and consultancy services to traders and portfolio managers to help manage trading risk, reduce transaction costs and enhance portfolio construction. Olivetree Solutions’ flagship OTAS platform is a suite of content and tools that provides traders and portfolio managers with insight into the risks and signals relevant to them.
Wall says: “OTAS is a ground-breaking solution and is set to change the way traders and portfolio managers manage risk across the whole life of a trade. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a new business stream with the buy-side for OTAS.”
Daryn Kutner, chairman and chief executive of Olivetree Financial Group, says: “We are delighted to welcome Charlotte to Olivetree. Her unique experience in banking and data solutions make her the ideal candidate to help drive sales of our flagship OTAS platform to buy-side institutions. We look forward to welcoming Charlotte to the team.”
