Options, a provider of cloud-enabled managed services to the global capital markets, has completed the annual Service Organisation Control (SOC) 2 Type II and Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) 16 Type II audits.

Conducted by an independent auditor, the certifications verify that the system architecture and security controls across the Options platform continue to provide a highly secure, available and private cloud service offering.

Introduced in 2011 as the financial industry standard for private cloud and infrastructure-as-a-service firms, SOC 2 Type II and SSAE 16 Type II assessments provide third-party assurance about a provider’s internal operating practices related to security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy.

Options was one of the first cloud infrastructure providers in the industry to achieve the inaugural SOC 2 Type II certification in 2011, and is proud to maintain the benchmark ever since. The latest SOC accreditation is testament to Options’ continued commitment to industry-leading security practices and the rigorous protection of sensitive client data.

Options CTO, John Bryant (pictured), says: “System integrity is the very fabric of the Options managed services model and we are proud to have developed industry-leading controls to ensure regulatory compliance for clients. We continue to invest in best-in-class security technologies to fortify our infrastructure and provide the highest standards of training for our dedicated cybersecurity team. This team, guided by these practices, performs constant due diligence around existing and emerging vulnerabilities and conducts thorough quarterly penetration tests for further validation.

“That we continue to receive SOC 2 Type II status, without exception since its introduction in 2011, is a reflection of this internal governance and instills confidence in our clients that we offer absolute information security for their data.”
