AXIS Capital Holdings Limited (AXIS Capital) has appointed Chris Caponigro as Global Head of AXIS ILS and rebranded its third party capital unit as AXIS ILS.
Silver Creek Capital Management (Silver Creek), a boutique alternative investment manager, has appointed Brendan Connor, former Executive Director and a strategy head within the Absolute Return Strategies group at GCM Grosvenor, as a Managing Director.
In this role, Connor will serve as a portfolio manager for select Silver Creek hedge fund strategies and build upon the firm’s longstanding history of managing a diversified portfolio of long-term alpha generators irrespective of market conditions. Based in Seattle, Connor reports to Art Zaske, Silver Creek’s Deputy Chief Investment Officer.

Grasso, who will be based in Milan, has worked for 10-plus years in London gaining significant experience in the asset management industry. Before joining MDOTM, she was Citigroup’s Hedge Fund & Real Money Rates Sales Director, where she gained in-depth knowledge of large institutional investors such as MAN Group, Brevan Howard and Bridgewater Associates and their sophisticated quantitative investment strategies.

LGT Capital Partners has appointed Mark Miller as Head of LGT Capital Partners (UK) Limited succeeding Mark White, CEO at LGT Capital Partners (UK) Ltd. The change is subject to regulatory approval.
Miller joined LGT Capital Partners in June 2020 as Head of UK Business Development from Federated Hermes – International where he was Head of Global Client Group. Miller has previously worked in senior business development roles at Amundi, Blackstone Alternative Asset Management and Fidelity International. In his new role Mark will assume overall responsibility for LGT Capital Partner’s UK office and client business.
