Chicago Trading Company (CTC) is to expand its credit business with a focus on high yield and distressed credit with CTC Alternative Strategies, based in New York and opening in early 2021. The news comes as the firm announces new hires across its credit business.

Merus Global Investments, a multi-strategy investment partnership, has opened a new trading facility in Miami’s financial district, and appointed two new partners, trading veterans Brook Bennett and Faraz Noorani. Boston-based Clough Capital Partners is an independent investment boutique which specialises in long short investing, has appointed Dr Noelle Tune, MD as a Director and a healthcare research analyst. Lazard Asset Management (LAM) has expanded its alternative investment platform, with the addition of a New York-based team and their long/short credit strategy.
