PerTrac Financial Solutions has released PerTrac Mobile 2.0, an application for Blackberry devices that provides users with secure wireless access to the contacts, communications, calendars, and other information stored in their office’s PerTrac CMS system.
PerTrac CMS is the company’s workflow management solution created to help investment industry firms handle the daily tasks involved in capital raising, investor relations, fund relations, due diligence, and manager selection.
‘We’ve built PerTrac Mobile 2.0 as a whole new application with a strong set of features that PerTrac CMS users are going to love,’ says Gerry Mintz, PerTrac president and chief executive. ‘Its easy-to-use interface makes it a breeze to do business while on the road, whether you need to search for information on an investment manager, create a record for an upcoming event, or follow up on a client request. PerTrac Mobile 2.0 users now have the power of PerTrac CMS in their hands, letting them get business done wherever it takes them.’
PerTrac Mobile 2.0 lets hedge fund and fund of funds professionals, as well as consultants, administrators, and institutional investors, conduct business away from the office.
Features include search functionality for items stored in the user’s PerTrac CMS system, the ability to sort search results, and a Dashboard to see newly added items at a glance.
PerTrac Mobile 2.0 displays up-to-the-minute information as stored in PerTrac CMS and also lets users add new event records in their firm’s PerTrac CMS database, ensuring that information stays in-sync everywhere so co-workers can share information seamlessly.
It was developed for Blackberry devices using the Pyxis Mobile software platform. As a companion application to PerTrac CMS, PerTrac Mobile 2.0 requires PerTrac CMS version 6.0 or later to function.
PerTrac Mobile 2.0 software is installed both on a firm’s central server and on the user’s Blackberry device(s). The Blackberry application is installed wirelessly from the server.
No data is stored directly on the Blackberry device; all data is transmitted wirelessly on demand between the device and the user’s server.
A user ID and the Blackberry PIN (personal identification number) are required to use PerTrac Mobile 2.0, so only the Blackberry owner has access to the firm’s sensitive data.
