Following the launch of a UCIT III-compliant version of its flagship Aspect Diversified Fund – the Aspect Diversified Trends Fund – at the end of January, London-based systematic investment manager Aspect Capital has appointed Quintillion Limited as the fund’s administrator. The Dublin-domiciled OEIC was created to give onshore investors exposure to the firm’s Aspect Diversified Programme, (on which both the Cayman and UCITS funds are based), which uses trading algorithms to capture momentum in medium-term trends across a range of liquid futures markets. Quintillion is the Index Calculation Agent for the Aspect Diversified Trends Index, which tracks the underlying Diversified Programme on a daily basis. Full daily dealing NAV, position reconciliation and P&L verification will be performed by Quintillion. Stringent reporting and transparency are necessary in UCITS III funds, and commenting on their appointment as the fund’s administrator, Quintillion senior manager Brian Fitzgerald said: “We are delighted to have been awarded the mandate. We believe our intelligent use of technology enables Quintillion to effectively deliver the daily transparent reporting which Aspect and its fund investors require.” Aspect’s COO, Simon Rockall added: “Their approach fits well with Aspect’s business and their accuracy and delivery is [sic] first rate.”
