Ossie Manners, a veteran in electronic trading, has joined Rokos Capital Management as the head of systematic technology. Manners previously led Citi’s commodities electronic trading division for four years, departing the bank in April, according to a report by eFinancial Careers.
Prior to joining Citi, Manners spent 15 years at Goldman Sachs, where he rose to the position of Commodities e-Trading Strategy Lead after initially starting as Commodities Desk Strategist.
The appointment is part of a broader reorganisation of the leadership and technology teams at Rokos Capital, with the firm recently announcing that Matthew Sebag-Montefiore, who joined the firm in 2018, is to step into the role of CEO, succeeding former Goldman Sachs Managing Director Mark Edwards.
Rokos Capital has had a promising start to 2024, with its macro fund reportedly up by 20.6% through July, according to Bloomberg.
