Scarlet Macaw Capital, the new London-headquartered equity hedge fund being prepped for launch by former Millennium Portfolio Manager Robert Bonte-Friedheim has named Praveen Kanakamedala to the position of Partner and COO.
Kanakamedala, who has over 20 years of buyside experience at hedge funds and asset management firms, was previously Managing Director and Head of Investment Solutions at Trium Capital.
At Trium, Kanakamedala provided performance and risk oversight of portfolio management teams operating several strategies including Cap Structure Arbitrage, Discretionary and Quantitative Equity Market Neutral, Discretionary and Systematic Macro, and Event Driven, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Scarlet Macaw is in the process of raising capital and is expected to begin trading in the second quarter of the year with $200m.
