Two filings with the SEC have revealed the structure of Brevan Howard’s new cryptocurrency hedge fund, which having raised more than $1 billion, is the world’s largest crypto hedge fund, according to a report by Crypto Times.
Two filings with the SEC have revealed the structure of Brevan Howard’s new cryptocurrency hedge fund, which having raised more than $1 billion from institutional investors, is the world’s largest crypto hedge fund, according to a report by Crypto Times.
The report cites a SEC filing made by Brevan Howard for the the Digital Asset Multi-Strategy Fund Ltd hedge fund as revealing that it has raised $184.15 million from four investors since sales opened on 1 April. The fund has $10 million minimum investment requirement for any outside investment.
Another filing by Brevan Howard for the Digital Asset Multi-Strategy Fund, hows that it has raised $29.71 million from six investors. This first filing for this fund was done back in January when it had raised $3 million. The fund also has a $10 million minimum investment requirement for outside investments.
According to an unnamed source, the filings are for the first of several sub-entities of Brevan Howard’s broader crypto hedge fund. Which are being created to satisfy different tax jurisdictions. The total combined assets under the management of these sub-entities will add up to more than $1 billion raised overall, while the open-ended nature of the funds means that the sub-entities can keep raising money indefinitely.
