The European Energy Exchange (EEX) has extended its product offering on the power derivatives market by launching Swiss Power Base Day and Weekend Futures.
On the first day of trading a total of 5,400 MWh was traded in Swiss Base Day Futures.
The first transaction in the Day Futures contract with a volume of 600 MWh was brokered by ARRACO Global Markets and concluded between Danske Commodities and NEAS Energy.
Swiss Power Base Day and Weekend Futures complement the existing Futures product range for the Swiss market which includes weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly delivery periods.

The European Energy Exchange (EEX) and the Polish Ministry of the Environment have concluded an agreement under which EEX, in its capacity as the common EU auction platform, will auction off the Polish share of emission allowances until a national opt-out platform has been established.
In this context, the auction calendar for 2017 was determined in coordination with the Ministry and the European Commission. The first auction is scheduled for 29 March 2017.

The Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) has launched the Jersey Private Fund (JPF) Guide, setting out the criteria for Jersey’s new private fund product which can be marketed to up to 50 professional investors.
The JFSC has launched the JPF Guide after feedback from the industry on its joint consultation with the government which, undertaken in 2016, focused on the “rationalisation and consolidation of Jersey’s private fund and unregulated fund regimes”.

Pacific Fund Systems (PFS), a provider of fully integrated fund administration software via its PFS-PAXUS application, has appointed Didier Lucotte as cloud services manager in the firm’s European operations team.
