S&P Capital IQ Real-Time Solutions has extended its QuantFEED and QuantLINK solutions through Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing’s (HKEx) Orion programme.
The new service provides participants with faster access to both trading platform and market data services.
The launch of the HKEx Orion Market Data (OMD) Platform and Orion Central Gateway (OCG) programme illustrates the growth of client demand for market access, connectivity, speed and efficiency across Asia. The use of S&P Capital IQ’s products through these portals will enable flexibility and faster access to low latency market data, alongside a broader scope of connectivity across major financial capitals around the world, including several centres in the Asia-Pacific region.
This move follows S&P Capital IQ’s co-location to HKEx’s data centre in Tseung Kwan O, Hong Kong earlier this year, resulting in a greater competitive advantage for clients. Being a member of HKEx Hosting Services ecosystem has added to the wide range of low latency connectivity and co-location services provided by S&P Capital IQ to meet the requirements of buy- and sell-side clients, both in Asia-Pacific and globally, for high performance and cost effective solutions.
Stephane Leroy, vice-president, real-time solutions at S&P Capital IQ, says: “Our strengthened position as part of the HKEx Orion ecosystem marks our commitment to developing our offering across Asia-Pacific. Clients keen to access the region will maintain their competitive-edge through our ultra-high-speed data and managed trading solutions that improve connectivity performance and reduce trade execution speed.”
“Our Orion programme is a suite of technology initiatives aimed at transforming the HKEx markets and providing state-of-the-art infrastructure for market access, speed and functionality. We welcome the inclusion of S&P Capital IQ’s Real-Time Solutions to our hosting services ecosystem and the opportunity for market data participants to select high-calibre, efficient solutions that best reflect their trading requirements,” says HKEx head of hosting services, Jonathan Leung.
