Stableton, a European platform for alternative investments, has hired Ethan B Schaerer to lead the firm’s strategic business development, sales and marketing initiatives into the next growth stage. On 1 January 2020, Schaerer will assume the position of Managing Partner alongside Stableton’s co-founders Andreas Bezner (CEO) and Konstantin Heiermann (CFO).

The 16-year financial industry veteran joins Stableton from Greentech Capital Advisors. At Greentech Capital (merger with Nomura announced), Schaerer worked closely with its founder, a former Joint Global Head of Investment Banking at UBS, to create the largest global advisory firm that focuses exclusively on sustainable infrastructure, technology, and impact investments.

After completing its latest financing round, the firm is poised to kick-start the next growth phase. This includes scaling its Fintech platform across Europe and into selected markets worldwide and continuing to forge relationships with large asset allocators, financial intermediaries, and leading sourcing partners.

Andreas Bezner, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Stableton, says: “Ethan brings deep expertise in the alternative investment space, and a successful track record in investment banking, wealth- and asset management to the table. Building on his entrepreneurial family and business background, he also enjoys deep ties to many successful entrepreneurs and their family offices. This global network and insight will prove invaluable to our clients and partners as they develop solutions with us. I am delighted to welcome Ethan to the Stableton team.”

“Entrepreneurs tend to be successful because they solve the most pressing challenges, create impact, and change lives in the process. It has always been my mission to extend this mindset into their private investment activities. Stableton brings together qualified and institutional investors with institutional alternative investment managers and specialized service providers. In today’s challenging markets, like-minded partners make it possible to generate performance, preserve wealth, and create impact,” adds Schaerer.
