Last week’s buy-side notional cleared on SwapClear is nearly double the amount of the clearing service’s previous industry record-breaking week, totalling USD233.4bn.
Additionally, SwapClear hit its second trillion in cumulative buy-side notional cleared in only two months (USD2.016trn).
SwapClear believes that these industry records and the rapid pace at which they were achieved are evidence that buy-side clearing is gaining momentum ahead of the regulatory mandates.
