Australian equities portfolio manager Frank Podrug is set to depart Cooper Investors later this month, according to market sources, to take up a new position with Sydney-based hedge fund firm Drummond Knight, according to a report by the Financial Review.
Podrug, who has spent nearly eight years at the Melbourne-based asset manager, has reportedly tendered his resignation and is set to join the hedge fund, which was founded by former Point72 trader Lindsay Taylor.
Podrug joined Cooper Investors initially as a research analyst and was promoted to portfolio manager in April 2025.
Neither Cooper Investors nor Drummond Knight has commented on the move.
