Dean Cooper, co-head of CEEMEA credit trading at UBS Group is to join Millennium Management as the hedge fund continues to expand its emerging markets operation in Dubai, according to a report by Bloomberg.
The report cites unnamed sources as saying that Cooper is relocating from London to Dubai to take up his new role. He will report to Goldman Sachs veteran Akash Patel who was appointed as senior portfolio manager at Millennium last year.
Millennium, which was founded by Izzy Englander and manages about $55 billion, now employs more than 30 staff in Dubai having secured a licence from the emirate’s International Finance Centre in 2020.
