June proved to be an erratic month, with the UCITS HFS Index unable to gain traction following May’s losses. It closed at -0.15% MTD. Week one saw every sub-strategy trading positive, with the Index up 0.82%, but these gains were all but wiped out in week two (-0.74%). Despite recovering slightly in week three (0.17%) the Index turned south again in week four (-0.40%), making for a stop-start monthly performance. Strategies hit hardest were Credit and Currency, the former posting a 2.20% gain in the first week but unable to carry it forward, finishing -0.27% at month-end. Event Driven and Fixed Income were the best performers, posting gains of 1.14% and 0.35% respectively.
