Man Group has hired Eric Woitscheck, a capital markets specialist from DWS as the London-based investment manager prepares to expand its ETF business into Europe, according to a report by etfstream.
At DWS, Woitscheck worked on ETF capital markets having joined the German asset manager in 2023 as an ETF capital markets analyst and subsequently progressed to an associate role.
Before moving into the ETF industry, Woitscheck worked as a commodities analyst at Bloomberg/
His appointment comes as Man Group builds out the infrastructure needed to support its European ETF offering. The firm began recruiting for the position earlier this year after Michael Barrer, its head of ETF capital markets, indicated that the business was looking to strengthen its team in the UK.
The hire follows Man Group’s registration of its first two internally managed UCITS ETFs with the Central Bank of Ireland.
The products — Man Active Trend UCITS ETF and Man Active Infrastructure UCITS ETF — mark the firm’s first move to offer its own ETF strategies in the European market.
