Reporting directly to Apex's Global CEO, Bill Salus, Westley will also manage Apex's offices in New York, New Jersey, Florida and Toronto.

Westley has over 30 years experience in the investment and financial services industry. He was previously a managing director in BNY Mellon's Alternative Investment Services group where he was Head of North American Client Services.

Prior to this he was a senior managing director and Head of Alternative Investment Services at PNC Global Investment Servicing where he developed and managed the alternative investments fund administration practice for nearly a decade.

Apex's rapid expansion is evidenced by achieving 31% AUM growth over the last 12 months. Benefiting from its 'Global Reach, Local Presence' strategy, Apex now has over 1,000 funds, 450 clients and AUM of US$34 billion, serviced in 34 offices worldwide.

Bill Salus, Global CEO, commenting on Westley's appointment, says: “Dennis' track record in growing businesses and building teams that exceed client expectations is second to none. He is one of the stand out individuals in the US alternatives and mutual fund industry and his influence will have an immediate impact on Apex's fast growing US business."

Dennis Westley, Managing Director, Apex North America, says: "US fund managers are increasingly realizing the significant benefits of partnering with Apex and the value of using one of the largest independent administrators that goes the extra step towards helping US middle market fund managers grow their businesses.

"Being part of the Apex organisation that is bringing exciting advancements to the US fund market, including access to global investors via Apex's Capital Introductory service, is a unique opportunity."
