ARR launches Cayman global long-short equity fund

Related Topics

ARR Investment Partners, a $60m London-based investment advisor that has been backed by over 70 investors via separately managed accounts, including Fasanara Open Quant Fund and a major New York-based multi-strategy investment firm, has launched a Cayman-domiciled global long-short equity fund.

The launch by the boutique, which outperformed many long-short peers during the Covid pandemic and the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, comes in response to interest from institutional investors, including large family offices and sovereign investors, for a fund structure. It also reflects a market environment in which geopolitical fragmentation and regime shifts are creating heightened volatility and dislocation across global equity markets.

The fund is headed by Christian Putz, the firm’s CEO and Founder. Putz brings 20 years of experience in equity investing, having worked at Man Group and Kazimir Partners, an American-owned hedge fund based in Moscow. Putz is recognised for his short-side expertise and geopolitical risk navigation capabilities that underpin ARR’s investment edge.

Christian Putz, CEO and Founder of ARR Investment Partners, said: “The market in 2026 is a world in which old rule books no longer work. We see a regime change both in the global order and market participation, creating extreme dispersion. This is a world where ARR’s strategy excels.”

“We are excited to launch our Cayman fund to meet interest from global institutional and family office investors.”
